INTENSE, DRAMATIC, NON-STOP, ROMANTIC, FUNNY, LOUD, CRAZY COOL, SAD, INSPIRATIONAL, CHALLENGING, SPIRITUAL...AND CANT LEAVE TO PEE GOOD! THOSE ARE THE WORDS I WILL USE TO DESCRIBE TRANSFORMERS: THE RISE OF THE FALLEN. I WENT THIS AFTERNOON (alone) AND WANTED TO STAY FOR THE NEXT SHOWING; DOUBLE DIP IF YOU WILL, BUT DECIDED I BEST GET HOME AND PACK FOR MY TRIP TO KANSAS CITY WITH THE GIRLS. BUT, I WILL TELL YOU THIS. I CRIED, I LAUGHED, I WAS NERVOUS, I CHEERED...AND AS I SIT HERE AND REFLECT ON THE MOVIE (which sounds stupid) I WONDER AT WHAT SORT OF RELATIONSHIPS WOULD SACRIFICE EVERYTHING FOR THE BETTER OF THE OTHER...CUZ THATS WHAT PRIME DID FOR SAM, AND IN TURN SAM DID FOR PRIME. I WONDER AT WHAT SORT OF RELATIONSHIPS DEMAND DEVOTION; DEVOTION THAT REQUIRES TO PUT ON THE OTHER PERSONS NEEDS FIRST, CUZ THATS WHAT BUMBLE BEE HAS FOR SAM - COMPLETE DEVOTION. AND I WONDER AT WHAT KIND OF LOVE WOULD RISK DIEING FOR. HUH, JESUS FULFILLS ALL THOSE THINGS. YEAH, IT SOUNDS GOOFY...BUT I AM REMINDED THAT GOD NEEDS TO BE MY 'PRIME'. LOVED THE MOVIE. GO SEE IT.

OFF TO PACK.

summer motto

DISCIPLINE SATISFIES: That's my summer motto. It's written on my chalk board hanging in my kitchen, it's written on a note card and taped to my bathroom mirror, and it is placed in strategic places where I will see it and be reminded of how I want, and maybe more than that, need discipline in my life! Please drop me a note any time and check in on how it's going.
Here are the main things I am going to concentrate on:
1. 6:30 a.m. wake up call, with some sort of easy type of exercise. a walk, a short jog, a bike ride...something to get me up and out of the house.
2. thereafter...I am hoping to spend at least an hour reading the BIBLE; outside, over breakfast...on my swing chair with my newly planted flowers. (I did it this morning and it was great. I sort of just got lost in it and spent 3+hours out there)
3. Hit the gym everyday for a hard workout!
4. RECORD RECORD RECORD. I've sort of fallen off the weight watchers band wagon and I am going to start back at it it again...religiously! I've not gained anything back, but haven't lost the last 20 thats waiting.
5. NO CARIBOU- I know, what am I doing to myself, Right? Here's the deal with that one. I can have caribou if I am meeting a friend for coffee, or if someone else wants to buy it for me, or if i brew it myself at home. I just think I need to sort of back off my caribou intake. It's daily, and thats a little much! so- discipline, in this case may not satisfy me, but it sure will satisfy the pocket book. right?
there ya have it! DISCIPLINE SATISFIES! or so we will see!

Summer has started, although I do not feel like the weather is proving it IS summer. I've been waiting for the sun to come out so I could enjoy planting flowers IN THE SUN and finally gave up on waiting. Today I stopped at Fleet Farm (my favorite place to shop) and got $80 worth of flowers. I spent more money that I should have, but couldn't pass up the super pretty ones! I got home and planted them in the flower planter that mom made for me last year. I will enjoy my morning cups of coffee and reading time out on my swing chairs now since there are pretty flowers to make the scenery better. I just hope that I did a good job and they actually survive. I also planted two tomato plants with hopes that they will actually produce tomatoes. Nice, right? Here is what my $80 bucks and 1.5 hours of my time produced! Kizzy...I know I don't have a garden like you, but...it will have to do.

this is my favorite one flower, the red one.

this is my 2nd favorite one. it's in a hanging bucket and has bright yellow, orange and reddish colors...some of the flowers have mixed colors on them...its pretty cool. it was my most expensive purchase.

I hope these flowers survive...I sort of ran out of dirt. I need to buy another bag.

I love freshly picked tomatoes. When I was a kid I would eat them like an apple. I hope to do that again.

ouch.

my friend Krissie cant stop talking about how much she loves getting her legs waxed; well- maybe she cant stop talking about how she loves the outcome of getting her legs waxed. So...after a month of growing my leg hair out (yeah, TMI) I got them waxed this afternoon at Juut, after i got a fantastic hair cut done by Hannah (love that girl)! OUCH! that pretty much sums it up. it didn't hurt as bad as i thought it was gonna...but it also really didn't feel pleasant... at all!!!! But i hope, like Krissie, that the outcome is worth the pain!

And Kizzy....if you look super close at the picture you will notice that my toes have been given the proper attention and even some tender lovin care. and yes, they are blue! nice, right?

On a side note....man are my niece and nephews cute!
